Before you write

How do I get my shelf out of Sentia?

Open the app and choose Export. You get three files: your bottles as a CSV, one row each with times worn and cost per wear; every logged day as a CSV, with occasion, clothing and weather; and a JSON backup of everything, which Sentia can read back in if you paste it into Add a bottle.

Can I add a long list at once?

Yes. In Add a bottle, choose “Or paste a whole list” and put one fragrance per line, house first, then a dash, then the name. Lines that match the catalogue are linked to it, with the house’s notes wherever the house publishes them.

A fragrance I own is missing from the catalogue.

Type the house and the name yourself. It goes on your shelf and works like any other bottle; it just has no published note list attached.

I cleared my browser, or I have a new phone.

If you had signed in, sign in again and your shelf comes back, on every device you use. Outfit photos are the exception: they never leave the device they were taken on. Without an account, the shelf lived only in that browser, so there is no copy for us to restore. That is the price of keeping it off our servers.

What to write about

• Something is wrong on a page

  If a note list does not match what the house publishes, send the page and a link to the house's own listing. Corrections with a source go live first, and the page's date changes when they do.

• The app misbehaves

  Tell us what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened, plus the phone or browser. A screenshot helps. Your shelf never leaves your device unless you sign in, so we cannot see it — describe the bottle if it matters.

• Your account or billing

  Password resets start on the forgot page. Deleting your account and managing a plan both happen on your account page. Refunds follow the refund policy; email from the address on your account and we handle it from there.

• Press, houses and collaborations

  We are glad to hear from perfume houses about their own listings, and from writers who want the data behind a guide. Put what you need in the first line.
