Sentia

About

Perfume goes on in the morning. Sentia is for the rest of the day.

You spray, you leave, and the bottle does not cross your mind again until tomorrow. Sentia is the place the hobby lives in between: your shelf, what you actually wear from it, what each wear costs, and the notes and materials behind the bottles.

Five bottles, all worn

Sentia is built by a small team. One of us owns five bottles and wears every one of them. That is the whole philosophy: fewer bottles, better chosen, with the numbers to show which ones earn their place. Cost per wear is not a gimmick here. It is the question the app was made to answer.

So Sentia does not tell you what to buy. It shows you what you reach for, what sits untouched, and what a bottle really cost you once you divide it by the days you wore it. Most people find one bottle they should wear more and one they should stop buying again.

How the guides are written

Every note list on this site comes from the house that makes the fragrance, read from its own product page and linked back to it. Nothing is copied from a community database. When a popular pyramid disagrees with the house, the guide says so and follows the house.

The material guides cite peer-reviewed papers and regulations by name, and they count. Where a note sits across 1,305 published top, heart and base pyramids is a number, not an impression. The perfume finder searches 1,623 of those note lists from 45 houses.

Fragrance pages are read by Lucy Grant, who co-owns Sentia, collects niche and designer fragrance and composes her own. A page carries her name only after she has read it. There are 16 guides today, and each one was written by hand for one question.

What stays yours

Until you make an account, nothing about your shelf reaches us: it is stored in your own browser. Make one and we keep a copy, so a lost phone does not cost you the collection, and that copy is free on every plan. No adverts run here. Google Analytics starts only after you agree to it. Apart from that we only tally how many times a day each app step happens, with nothing that could tell one person from another. The privacy page lists every piece of data we hold and every company that touches it.

What it costs

Free covers up to 3 bottles on your shelf with the wear log and what it works out, the 2,798-fragrance catalogue (1,623 of them with the house’s own note list), all the guides and the finder. Sentia Plus adds every bottle after the third and the wishlist. The price is on the homepage, and you see it before anything is charged.

Track the wear. Learn your taste.

Add one bottle and log the next time you wear it. That is the whole start.
